But to your point about Jobs focusing on the success of the product more than giving into market demands, I offer you one recent example… the antenna of the iphone 4. Q1 of 2012 is off and running to an IT hiring frenzy like that of 1998, but with a difference. Due to the three hump roller coaster of hiring and lay-off and recessions from 2001, 2004 and 2008, companies are desperate to bring their technology infrastructure up to speed and move forward in the Cloud. So this means updating the infrastructure gear and hiring top talent for data center set up and applications refresh for efficiency.
