Corus360 Announces the Launch of New Emergency Management Application -- DARS360
The Damage Assessment Reporting System is on BlackBerry® App World
Atlanta, GA. Wednesday, April 20th, 2011 -- Recognizing the growing need for quick disaster recovery in the workplace, Georgia-based technology consulting and solutions company Corus360 announced the launch of its newest BlackBerry® application, DARS360. The Damage Assessment Reportying System (DARS360) is an emergency management application designed to help organizations asses and record damages when disaster strikes. Designed for use with BlackBerry® PlayBook, DARS360 users can perform crucial damage assessments at any time and location. With DARS360, organizations can conveniently collect and record any damages they discover while on site of their workplace disaster. Users can also capture picture and video recordings of actual damage and geocode the disaster location.
DARS360 eliminates the need for organizations to keep paper forms. Any damage recorded using the DARS360 application conforms to the FEMA damage assessment template. “With DARS360, organizations can receive assistance immediately and avoid time delays. Users will also benefit from the application’s emergency management analytics and actionable intelligence,” said Ted Chappell, EVP, Professional Services.
This application can be used by Government, Insurance Claim Adjusters, and various Corporations to assess and record damages, perform analytics on collected data, glean actionable intelligence and act on the intelligence gathered.
DARS360 was designed and created by the Application Development team at Corus360.This group of consultants specializes in creating custom applications for clients to solve enterprise challenges such as accounting, customer information management, production scheduling, and business process workflow. DARS360 is the second BlackBerry® application produced by the Corus360 Application Development Team. Last year, Corus360 released Remote360, a BlackBerry® application that helps IT administrators securely connect to and remotely operate the BlackBerry® devices of their organizations.
DARS360 version 1.0 is currently available for the BlackBerry® PlayBook. Corus360 will launch a subsequent release of DARS360 for devices supporting Java, including other BlackBerry® devices.
